Keep patience, suitable programs will be given: Moudud
BNP standing committee member Barrister Moudud Ahmed said, no autocratic ruler in the world was evicted from power through peaceful movement. Keep patience for some days. Suitable program will be given in suitable time. That will not be a gentlemen’s program.
He said these at a roundtable titled ‘Killing without justice and fundamental rights’ organized by Nagorik Odhikar Andolon Forum at the national press club on Saturday.
Barrister Moudud said, greater unity is needed for movement. BNP needs to be more liberal in this regard. Movement should be originated against Awami League by engaging all powers.
He said, Khaleda Zia is the most popular political leader in the country. But she is kept in an abandoned prison under a false case. She is accompanied by bugs, mosquitoes, cockroaches, rats and lizards.
The BNP leader said, there are government tricks behind the delay of release of Khaleda Zia. But they do not know the delay will increase her popularity. Time will come when they understand that there is no future for them. There will be harsh movement that they can’t imagine.
About anti-narcotic drive he said, the killing without justice has broken all the records. People are being killed in cool headed in the name of drug eradication. Justice will be ensured in every killing.
Moudud said, now the leaders and activists of our party are being harassed from door to door in every district. Stop the drive without any delay. You are not able to detain the 78 top drug traders, the list you have made. Arrest them at first.
BNP joint secretary general Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal, organizing secretary Shama Obaed, BNP executive committee member Abu Naser Mohammad Rahmatullah and others spoke on the occasion.
