Khaleda Zia to be proposed to take treatment in CMH: Home Minister
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said, we want to provide treatment for Khaleda Zia in the top ranking hospital of the country according to the jail code. We have no lacking in this regard. Proposal will be made to her to take treatment in Combined Military Hospital (CMH).
He said these to the newsmen at the secretariat on Tuesday.
Home Minister said, a proposal will be sent to her for taking treatment in CMH.
He said, after hearing the news of Khaleda Zia’s sickness Civil Surgeon, IG Prisons and other physicians have submitted their examination reports. We are taking measures according to that.
Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said, we wanted to take the BNP Chairperson to BSMMU. But she did not give consent. So, we will propose for her treatment in CMH. Many expert physicians’ support is available in that hospital. CMH is better than any private hospital.
When asked, if she does not comply with to go in CMH then what will the government do, the minister said, we will keep our effort on. Different measures will be taken if thing does not go in the right way.
Meanwhile, Shamim Eskander, brother of Khaleda Zia submitted written application to the home ministry seeking permission to take measures for her admission in United Hospital.
In the application Shamim Eskander said, my elder sister is imprisoned in old central jail in Nazimuddin Road. She is infected with different diseases. She is not getting proper treatment from the jail. So her physical condition is deteriorating.
