Khaleda greets people on Eid from jail
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has greeted the country’s people and wished them ‘Eid Mubarak’ from jail on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
BNP’s senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said this at a press conference at the party central office in Nayapaltan on Friday.
Rizvi said, our Eid celebration premises are somber. We are going to observe the Eid with painful hearts. Though she got bail from the apex court, she was neither released nor taken to a hospital of her choice to receive treatment.
The BNP leader alleged that the government obstructed Khaleda Zia’s release from jail by interfering in the judiciary. They have created a new history of inhumanity and cruelty in connection with treatment of a 73 years old popular leader of the country. Sheikh Hasina has defeated major autocratic rulers of the world in the competition of extreme cruelty and inhumanity.
Begum Khaleda Zia was awarded five years imprisonment in the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case on February 8. Till at present she is imprisoned in the old central jail at Nazimuddin road in the capital.
