BNP leaders Aman, Nazim land in jail
A Dhaka court has ordered to send BNP Chairperson’s advisor Amanullah Aman and BNP executive committee member Nazimuddin Alam to jail rejecting their bail petitions. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Subrata Ghosh Shuvo passed the order on Saturday after hearing the bail petitions.
In the bail petition it said that it was a political harassing case. The arrested were not on the spot and their names were not filed in the case statement.
Lawyers also claimed that the accused were sick and also requested the court for first class status of the captives and for their proper treatment facilities. The judge then directed for taking measures according to the jail code.
Police filed two cases at the Shahbagh police station and one at Ramna police station over attack on police in the High Court area on Tuesday. Several hundred leaders and activists were made accused in the case. After that Amanullah Aman and Nazimuddin Alam were arrested from a house of Mohakhali DOHS on Friday night.
