Vietnam will be with Bangladesh in Rohingya Crisis: PM
Rohingya crisis is a threat to this region. Vietnam promised to stay with Bangladesh to resolve the Rohingya issue, said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Sheikh Hasina said this at Bangladesh-Vietnam joint press conference in Karabi Hall of Prime Minister's Office. At the time Vietnam President Tran Dai Quang was present.
Besides, in the press conference Commerce Minister Tofayel Ahmed, Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury, Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith and Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu were also present.
Earlier Bangladesh signed three Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Vietnam. After their bilateral meeting in presence of the two leaders, the Memorandums of Understanding on fisheries and livestock sector, cooperation in mechanical engineering and cultural exchange were signed between the two countries.
Earlier, a meeting had been held between the two leaders Sheikh Hasina and President Tran Dai Quang. Later, bilateral meeting between Bangladesh and Vietnam began. Sheikh Hasina led Bangladesh delegation and Tran dai Quang led Vietnam.
When the President of Vietnam reached the Prime Minister's Office at 10:00 am, Sheikh Hasina welcomed him with flowers.
Responding to the invitation of President Abdul Hamid, Vietnam President Tran Dai Quang arrived in Dhaka on Sunday on a three-day visit. Tran Dai Quang is scheduled to leave Dhaka on Tuesday at the end of the tour.
