Most allocation in transport-communication, education second
The size of this fiscal year’s development budget is fixed at 1 lakh 79 thousand 669 crore taka. Of this the most allocation is given in transport and communication sector- 26.6 percent. In the second position there is education and technology sector.
Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith placed the budget proposals in the parliament on Thursday.
According to his speech, the most allocation is in transport and communication sector- 26.6 percent. Then education and technology sector- 16.3 percent. The allocation in local government and rural development is 15.7 percent.
The allocation for non development sector is 2 lakh 84 thousand 904 crore taka. Which was 2 lakh 45 thousand 14 crore taka in the current fiscal.
In the non development sector the most allocation was given in for paying the interest for government-18 percent. The allocation decreased slightly in social security and welfare sector- 6.4 percent. The allocation is 9.1 percent in pension and retirement allowances.
