Gold price reduced by 1166 taka per vori
Bangladesh Jewelers Samity (BAJUS), the gold merchants association of the country has reduced prices of gold up to 1166 taka per vori. The new prices will be effective from Friday.
BAJUS informed this through a press release on Thursday.
It said, according to the new declaration the price of one vori 22 carat gold will be 48 thousand 638 taka by reducing 1166 taka. The price of 21 and 18 carat gold will be 46 thousand 364 taka and 41 thousand 290 taka respectively per vori.
It also said, the price of old method gold was fixed at 27 thousand 585 taka per vori. The price of 21 carat silver (Cadmium) was fixed at 1050 taka per vori.
It is mentionable that on Thursday 22 carat gold was sold at 49 thousand 805 taka per vori, 21 carat gold was sold at 47 thousand 530 taka and 18 carat gold was sold at 42 thousand 456 taka per vori. Gold in old method was sold at 27 thousand 585 taka per vori.
Earlier the price of gold was reduced on June 20. At that time prices of 22, 21 and 18 carat gold were reduced by 1166 taka also.
