The flights for hajj aspirants in this year will begin from July 14. Meanwhile, the visa processing has begun under government and private management. Earlier the processing started after Eid ul Fitr but this year it has started at the beginning of the month of Ramadan.

The Saudi government has introduced e-visa for the hajj aspirants. This visa will not be attached with the passport. It will be supplied as printed copy. So the hajj passengers should preserve it separately. These e-visa and passport should be shown to the immigration police counter in airport. Passengers should keep the passport after immigration police give seal on it.

The concerned person’s photograph, national identity number, visa and other information can be known after pressing 10 digit tracking number or passport number on the Hajj Website (www.hajj.gov.bd). The members of the team also will be shown in the page. The concerned person will be aware of whether there is any dissimilarity between his personal information and information provided by the agency.

In this regard Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister AKM Shahjahan Kamal said, this year total 1 lakh 27 thousand 198 persons will perform hajj from Bangladesh. Of them 7 thousand 198 will perform under government management and the rest 1 lakh 20 thousand will perform under private management. Hajj passengers have to buy kit bags and poly bags of specific size marked with national flags with their own initiatives.

The hajj passengers have some requirements to maintain. Such as- preserving individual registration certificate. Communicate with hajj agencies for ensuring pilgrim ID, visa, airlines ticket and flight date and to take necessary vaccine and medical checkup in due time.
