Justice audit method to be introduced
Measures can be taken over state of cases sitting at home: Law Minister
Law Minister Anisul Huq said, to remove backlog of cases justice audit method is going to be introduced immediately. Through this we will be able to know about the type and condition of the cases and will be able to take action according to the state of the cases by sitting at home.
He said these in a meeting with a 12-member representative team of Advocacy Forum Child Parliament of National Children’s Taskforce (NCTF) at the meeting room of law ministry on Tuesday.
The minister said, to solve the cases related to child crimes fast the government is working on with utmost importance. Due to government’s active steps some murder cases were solved quickly by delivering judgment such as Rajon murder case.
He said, child repression has decreased after speedy trial and judgment of some children murder cases including child Rajon and Rakib murder cases. The government always will try its best to ease child repression.
Anisul Huq said, some problem was created over juvenile court while formulating the juvenile act. Efforts are going on to avert those. The revised act is now in the parliament and it may be passed any day.
He said, we want that judgment procedure is not delayed. Because, if justice is delayed it means that not only the people are harassed but it also means failure of judiciary and after that people lose confidence on judiciary.
Senior Secretary of legislative and parliamentary affairs division of the ministry Mohammad Shahidul Haque, law and justice division Secretary Abu Saleh Sheikh Md. Jahirul Haque, Joint Secretary Habibur Rahman among others were present in the meeting.
