Bangladesh girls clinch four nation football trophy
Bangladesh girls become champion in four nation Jokey Club Girls under-15 International Invitational football tournament in Hong Kong. In their third and last match they beat the host team by 6-0 goals.
Tohura khatun made a hattrick in the match while Sajeda Khatun, Shamsunnahar and Anuchin Mogini scored each.
The hosts were under severe pressure from the beginning due to Bangladesh’s attacking football. Tohura scored first for the team in the fourth minute. Sajeda scored second goal in the 39th
minute. In the next minute Tohura scored her second and team’s third. The first half ended with 3-0 difference.
The second half was under control of Bangladesh. Shamsunnahar scored team’s fourth in the 67th
minute. The next goal came in 72nd
minute. This time Anuchin was the scorer.
Just after two minutes Tohura scored the last goal and made her hattrick for the second time in the tournament. Bangladesh left the field with 6-0 goals win.
Apart from Bangladesh and Hong Kong other two teams from Malaysia and Iran also took part in the tournament.
The under-15 team from Bangladesh defeated Malaysia by 10-1 goals on Friday and beat Iran by 8-1 goals on Saturday.
Bangladesh under-15 team has won their second consecutive international trophy in women’s football. In this tournament they scored 24 goals in three matches. This team also became champion in the under-15 SAFF tournament.
The followers of Golam Rabbani Chhoton became champion in the south central zone under-14 tournament in 2014 and 2016.
The teenagers also returned to the country being champion from Nepal in 2014 and from Tajikistan in 2016.
