Everybody witnessed what type of a fair election by EC: Fakhrul
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, government with help of police and Awami League terrorists refrained BNP workers to move around the election centers in the Khulna City Corporation (KCC) election. They beat and drove away the BNP polling agents from the centers. They themselves sealed the ballot paper for symbol of boat by threatening the voters. They filled up the ballot boxes. This is Awami League’s and the Election Commission’s fair and nice election.
He said these after holding a meeting with the BNP senior leaders at BNP Chairperson’s political office in Gulshan on Tuesday.
Fakhrul said, it is proved again that no impartial election can be held under this government. The government has to resign for holding fair election, Election Commission (EC) should be reformed and army needs to be deployed.
He said, through the KCC election it is proved that under this government and EC fair election cannot be conducted. So it is peoples’ demand to dissolve the parliament and form a neutral government for holding a fair election.
Mirza Fakhrul said, if army is deployed then the voting scenario will not be the same what ever the result comes. The opposition party would exercise their voting rights.
BNP standing committee members including Moyeen Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and other were present on the occasion.
