BNP standing committee member Barrister Moudud Ahmed said, government has to step down from power in a particular day. So they should step down with honor.

He said this while exchanging views with local newsmen at his home in Companiganj upazila in Noakhali on Sunday.

Moudud said, if you want to leave power with honor then let us create a fair and impartial environment for election with participation of all. Certain party will form government through fair election.

He said, the incumbent government is so autocratic that they do not allow us to hold iftar mahfil. They even do not allow us to hold iftar programs after filing written application.

The BNP leader said, this government came to power through an election without voters. So this government has no popularity. If it had popularity then they will not act like a fascist government. The situation will end one day.

Moudud alleged that police conducted drives at the homes of local BNP and its other organizations leaders and activists before he arrived at his home in Noakhali.

Local BNP and its associate body leaders were present during the program.
