BNP’s senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, negligence is going on over treatment of severely sick Begum Khaleda Zia. We are in fear that the government is hatching conspiracy to depart her from the world.

He said this at a press conference at the party central office in Nayapaltan in the capital on Monday.

Rizvi said, the government is saying repeatedly to provide her treatment in PG hospital undermining the demand of modern treatment in United Hospital. There are ruling party affiliated physicians. Even the expert physicians were removed from there by sacking earlier. No treatment is possible for Khaleda Zia under the Awami League affiliated physicians. Because, people of the country and Khaleda Zia have no confidence on them.

Demanding unconditional release of Khaleda Zia he said, government is hatching deep conspiracy to jeopardize the life of Khaleda Zia. She is a victim of inhuman vengeance and passing her days in a dark, uninhabitable prison cell. She is deprived of treatment, her rights are violated and rights to live are taken away.

Rizvi said, Awami League General Secretary said that Khaleda Zia’s sugar level dropped. If he is right then it is a dangerous matter too. But the real matter is that she lost her consciousness following TIA. Which her personal physicians also informed. They also advised her to admit in United Hospital with further investigations. The jail authority did not take any immediate steps following the bad news rather dillydallying over her treatment.

The BNP leader said, to provide treatment of Khaleda Zia in BSMMU is a part of planned conspiracy. She does not want to take treatment from there as she is not feeling safe there. People of the country are worried over deteriorated physical condition of Khaleda Zia. We want government to take steps for better treatment in the specialized United Hospital as per her will without any delay. We want her unconditional release before Eid ul Fitr.
