Army should be deployed by dissolving parliament: Fakhrul

Secretary General of BNP Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, Election Commission should be reformed by suspending the present commission. Parliament should be dissolved, army has to be deployed. Then the environment for election will be created. Otherwise no election will be allowed to hold in the country.

He said these in a token hunger strike program organized at Mahanagar Natya Mancha in the capital on Monday to press their demand of better treatment and unconditional release of party Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

Earlier Gonoshastha Kendra founder Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury broke the hunger strike of Mirza Fakhrul Islam by feeding water. Leaders and worker from across the country took part in the hunger strike.

Mirza Fakhrul said, Begum Khaleda Zia was confined in jail with unlawful political motive. She is not being provided proper treatment. She is not given the minimum want. The government willingly is hatching conspiracy to keep BNP and Khaleda Zia far from all.

He said, Chhatra Dal organizing secretary Ishak Sarkar was arrested. Their motive is to keep BNP far from politics and election. No national parliament election will be allowed to hold in the country keeping party Chairperson Khaleda Zia in jail and keeping BNP out of election. For this reason Begum Zia before going to jail urged everybody to be united and we have to be victorious through peaceful movement.

To the leaders and activists Mirza Fakhrul said, we have to be united not only for Begum Khaleda Zia’s release but also for liberation of 16 crore people, to return democracy.

BNP standing committee members Khondoker Mosharraf Hossain, Mirza Abbas, Nazrul Islam Khan, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy among others were present in the token hunger strike.
