Prime Minister orders technocrat ministers to resign: Quader

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered technocrat ministers to resign after declaring the election schedule.

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said this at a briefing at Gonobhaban in the capital on Tuesday.

He said, Awami League president Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hold a press conference at Gonobhaban at 12:30 pm on November 8 over the summary of dialogue.

Obaidul Quader also said, Awami League will not go for further dialogue after November 7.

At present the technocrat ministers in the cabinet are- Post, Telecommunication and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar, Science and Technology Minister Yafes Osman, Religious Affairs Minister Principal Motiur Rahman and Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Nurul Islam BSc.

After last reshuffle in the cabinet in January this year, 30 ministers, 17 state ministers and 2 deputy ministers are performing their responsibilities under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
