No possibility of cancelling Digital Security Act: Law Minister

Law Minister Anisul Huq said, there is no possibility of cancelling the Digital Security Act. But there will be strict surveillance so that misuse and abuse do not happen centering the law.

He said these after paying homage to the grave of father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj on Thursday.

Law Minister said, people of the country were happier when Bangabandhu returned to the country on January 10, 1972 than they were happy after the independence.

Earlier in the morning, Law Minister, Finance Minister, Prime Minister’s private sector development affairs Advisor reached at Tungipara boarded on a helicopter and paid respect to the grave of father of the nation with flowers. Later they took part in a special munajat and reciting Fateha for salvation of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and his family members.

At that time upazila Awami League general secretary Abul Bashar Khayer, former chairman of Tungipara upazila Solaiman Bishwas Mostafa, former municipal mayor Sardar Ilias Hossain, vice chairman Imdadul Haque Bishwas, Patgati union Awami League president Babul Hossain and other party leaders were present.
