Strict action for sabotage attempt centering garment movement

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia said that strict action will be taken if there is any attempt to create sabotage activity centering the movement of garment workers. He said no opportunity will be given to any vested quarter for sabotage centering the labor demonstration for their demand of implementing the new wage structure for the last few days.

He said these to the newsmen after distributing warm clothes among underprivileged transgender people at Mirpur in the capital on Saturday. 

Asaduzzaman Mia said, if anybody tries to attain their own or group interest in the name of garment workers’ movement then they will be brought under law.

He said, intelligence agencies are directed to investigate the matter whether anybody is trying to create sabotage by provoking behind the workers movement. Besides, the ministry and BGMEA are working over the demand of the workers. Their demand will be met within a very short period.

At that time the DMP Commissioner urged the workers to go back to their work stations leaving the roads.
