Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury Javed said, nobody will be spared if threats are given during the eviction drive of illegal establishment on the bank of river Karnaphuli. Pace of illegal establishment eviction will be double if anybody gives threat. The plan that we have taken centering the Karnaphuli has to be implemented.

He said these while visiting the eviction activities on the bank of river Karnaphuli at Majhirghat area in Chattogram city on Saturday.

The Land Minister said, it is Bangladesh of twenty first century. It is the digital Bangladesh of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Here our intelligence is very strong. Nobody will be spared after giving threats.

He said, somebody thinks that eviction has begun and that will stop afterwards. No, this won’t be. The work will not stop as long as I remain. The work has begun and it will end in due time. We will not allow any illegal establishment. There is a cold storage on the spot. Several thousand tons of fishes are being kept there. If we harm any businessman then it will create negative impact on our country’s economy. So this type of establishment will be evicted in certain time.

Saifuzzaman Chowdhury said, we are speaking about vision 2021 or vision 2041. What does it mean? This vision will be implemented through our works and mind setup. Making rivers free from encroachers is one of the tasks to implement the vision.

He said, we are working for the country. We are working with people. Prime Minister wants to take the country ahead. She wants to build a beautiful and prosperous country. It is possible through cooperation from all.
