Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) general secretary Golam Rabbani denied the allegation of attack on Chhatra Union’s Liton Nandi or Quota Reforms Movement leader Nurul Haque Nuru. He said, Nuru has 'Ranikhet' disease, so he became unconscious after drinking water.
He said, voting was fair. They are alleging of attack fearing their defeat. They tried to occupy the residential halls. But their efforts failed following obstruction from the general students.
Rabbani denied the incident of attack on Liton Nandi and said, he was not beaten, fearing the defeat he acted like a beaten person.
He said, the leftists spread rumors in Rokeya Hall, the ballots that were recovered from there were not sealed marked.
Rabbani also said that BCL will file case against the persons who spread rumors including Liton Nandi and Nurul Haque Nuru. He also demanded not only cancelling Liton and Nuru’s candidature but also their lifetime expulsion from the university over allegation of ballot box hijack.
