Kanchpur second bridge and Bhulta flyover to be inaugurated
The Kanchpur second bridge and Bhulta flyover bridge in Narayanganj are going to be inaugurated.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is going to inaugurate the two bridges on Saturday (March 16).
Engineer of Narayanganj Roads and Highways division Ariul Hossain said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate a lane of Gazipur-Madanpur road of Bhulta Flyover Bridge (Asian Highway bypass) and Kanchpur second bridge through video conference.
Locals said, country’s biggest wholesale cloths market situated in the south side of Bhulta. There was usual traffic congestion in the joining section of Dhaka-Sylhet highway and Asian Highway. Traffic jam can be averted if this flyover goes operational.
It is known that ninety percent work of the flyover on Dhaka-Sylhet highway has been completed. It is being constructed with a cost of 353 crore taka.
Meanwhile, Kanchpur second bridge will make the communication easy from Dhaka to Chattogram and Sylhet. It was scheduled to inaugurate on March 10. Due to illness of Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader it was deferred.
