Yangon accident: Biman pilot and others to return tonight

The pilot, cabin crews and ground engineers who were injured in a Biman Bangladesh Airlines aircraft accident in Myanmar are being brought back to the country. The other injured persons will also return in the country in the same flight.

A special flight of Biman went to Yangon on Friday to bring back the people stranded there.

General Manager (Public Relations) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Shakil Meraj confirmed the matter. He said, following suggestions of the physicians and after completion of formalities in Myanmar the special flight will return Dhaka in the night.

Mentionable, an aircraft of Biman Bangladesh Airlines along with 35 passengers skidded off the runway of Yangon international airport while landing due to rough weather on Wednesday.

After the accident 19 people were provided treatment after admission in the hospital. The aircraft, a Bombardier Dash-8, made by Canadian company was severely damaged.
