PM urges for temporary tolerance about sufferings of metro rail
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urged city dwellers for temporary tolerance for their sufferings due to construction work of metro rail for sake of comfort in future. She said, the public sufferings that are created due to metro rail, for that the benefit can get in future in exchange of some discomfort.
She said these while inaugurating different development projects through video conference from Prime Minister’s official residence Ganabhaban in the capital on Saturday.
The Prime Minister said, our aim is to develop the fate of people of the country through works. We are working in this vision. We are walking through the path of friendship to all- malice to none, showed by father of the nation.
She said, development work will continue. We are doing development for our bridges. It will continue. We are working to build a communication network throughout Bangladesh. We are trying to make the road, water way, rail and air way communication easy.
Upholding different steps to prevent road accident the Prime Minister said, we are taking steps so that drivers can take rest beside the high ways. This step will allow them to take rest after a certain time.
Earlier the Prime Minister inaugurated the second Meghna bridge and second Gumti bridge; Konabari and Chandra flyover; Kaliakoir, Deohata, Mirzapore and Gharinda underpass and Kadda-1, Bimail bridge on Joydevpur-Chandra-Tangail-Alenga highway under sasek connecting road project. She also inaugurated intercity train ‘Panchagarh Express’ between Dhaka and Panchagarh route.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also exchanged views with officials of local administration and party leaders through video conferencing.
