Road accident kills 4 Bangladeshis in Saudi Arabia

Four Bangladeshi nationals were killed in a road accident in Saudi Arabia. All the deceased were inhabitants of Narayanganj district. The accident took place at around 10 am on Friday Saudi Arabian local time.

The deceased are identified as- Suruj Mia (25), son of Zabbar Mia from Badalpur village of Kalapaharia union under Araihazar upazila, Nura Mia (23), son of Motalib Bepari of the same village, Ujjal (22) from Khaliar Char village and Rasel (24) of Champak Nagar village under Khagkanda union.

In this regard Kalapaharia union council Chairman Saiful Islam Swapan said, the deceased were working at Al Fahad Company in Madinah. On Friday at around 1 pm Bangladesh time the accident took place while they were on their way to work place boarded on a microbus. The four Bangladeshis died on the spot.

Meanwhile, Aminul Haque, Field Officer of a non-government organization working for overseas workers’ welfare said, we will cooperate to send the dead bodies to the family members. Besides, we are working to get the facilities for the family members of the deceased from Saudi authority.
