A Dhaka court has granted seven days remand for Khaled Mahmud Bhuiyan, organizing secretary of Dhaka metropolitan south unit of Juba League in connection with the cases filed against him under arms and narcotics prevention act.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Begum Mahmuda delivered the order.
On Thursday evening Khaled was produced before the court and Investigation Officer of the case and Inspector of Gulshan police station Aminul Islam sought total 14 days remand- seven days each for arms and narcotics control act.
Earlier, three cases were filed against him with Gulshan police station over the allegations of keeping arms and drugs and money laundering.
RAB arrested Khaled Mahmud from his house at Gulshan-2 on Wednesday evening.
In this regard RAB headquarters media and legal wing Director Lt. Colonel Sarwar Bin Kashem said that Khaled was handed over to Gulshan police station at around 2:30 pm on Thursday after interrogation in their custody.
He said, in the primary interrogation Khaled delivered some important information. Three cases were filed against him with Gulshan police station and another case was filed with Motijheel police station under narcotics control act.
