The court has granted 10-day remand to Kalabagan Krira Chakra president and Krishak League central leader Shafiqul Islam Feroz in connection with two cased lodged against him.
Metropolitan Magistrate Mahmuda Akter granted the remand after hearing in the court on Saturday afternoon.
Earlier, police produced Feroz before the court seeking 20-day remand. But the court granted 10-day remand after the hearing.
The Magistrate granted 5-day remand in connection with the case filed under arms act and more 5-day remand under narcotics act.
In the morning two cases were filed with Dhanmondi police station against Feroz under arms and narcotics control act.
On Friday night RAB conducted drive at Kalabagan Krira Chakra in the capital. The elite force team detained club president Feroz along with special kind of yaba tablets, casino and gambling materials and arms.
