Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda has said to the law enforcement agency members, if there are minor problems then solve those through the chiefs of your own forces. I will not spare anybody if there is any untoward situation. Strict punishment will be taken.

His warning came in while presiding over a meeting with law enforcement agencies at the Nirbachan Bhaban at Agargaon in the capital on Wednesday.

The CEC said, nobody will be spared if negligence is found while discharging their duties by the law enforcement agencies during election. Strict punishment will be taken against them.

To the chiefs of different forces he said, we do not want that any complain, information of irregularity would come to us. Solve the minor problems within yourselves or through the high officials of police, BGB and RAB.

KM Nurul Huda said, we have devotion and concentration for holding a fair election. We hope, we will get help for a fair, free and acceptable election. Like in the previous we got. Hope that will get the same this time also. Sometimes complains come to us that agents are not present in the center. Certainly you would not bring agents from their home. But ensure that no agent is forced out from the centers.

He said, Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) is high quality. It is not possible to cast fake votes through this.

Three Election Commissioners, Election Commission Secretary Md. Alamgir, IGP Mohammad Javed Patwary, RAB Chief Benazir Ahmed, DMP Commissioner Shafiqul Islam and Dhaka Divisional Commissioner were present in the meeting.
