The HSC and equivalent examinations of this year have been suspended following the coronavirus situation in the country. The new routine of the examinations will be informed later.
Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the education ministry Mohammad Abul Khayer confirmed the matter on Sunday. He said, the upcoming HSC and equivalent examinations have been suspended due to coronavirus outbreak in the country.
Earlier, following the situation due to coronavirus the admit card distribution activities for HSC and equivalent examinations of Dhaka board were suspended until March 28.
The HSC and equivalent examinations were scheduled to begin from April 1.
It was known that the inter education board coordination sub-committee held meeting participated by all the educational board chairmen on Thursday. In the meeting decision was taken to defer the HSC examinations. Following that the formal announcement has come today with the ministry approval.
