One dies, no new coronavirus patient detected, seven recovered: IEDCR

One more coronavirus infected person died on Wednesday morning. But no new patient has been detected. So far 39 people have been infected. Total five people died after the viral infection. Seven persons have recovered.

IEDCR Director Dr. Meerjady Sabrina Flora delivered the information at a live press briefing through online on Wednesday.

She said, the deceased was the member of an overseas returnee family. He was a male aged 65.

Dr. Flora said, so far in the country sample of 794 persons have been tested. In the last 24 hours 82 samples were tested. No new case has been detected after performing the tests. So the number of infected patients is 39. Of the infected one elderly person aged 65 died on Wednesday morning. He was suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes. He was infected by coronavirus after close contact with some of his overseas returnee relatives. After being diagnosed as a case of COVID-19 on March 18 he was admitted at a local hospital. As his condition deteriorated on March 21 the patient was admitted at Kuwait Maitree Hospital.

She said, there are 47 suspected coronavirus cases are in isolation and 47 persons are in institutional quarantine. More tow persons have recovered and went back to their homes. In total seven persons have recovered from the disease.
