Another physician died from coronavirus in the country. Name of the physician is Dr. Major (retd) Abul Mokarim Md. Mohsin Uddin. He breathed his last at 11 pm on Tuesday at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) while undergoing treatment.
Dr. Mokarim was the chief of Radiology department in Ibn Sina Hospital. With this incident total three physicians died from coronavirus in the country.
Dr. Abdullah Al Mamun, secretary general of Foundation for Doctors Safety, Rights and Responsibilities (FDSR) confirmed the matter of death of Dr. Abul Mokarim.
He said, Dr. Abul Mokarim was the chief of radiology department in Ibn Sina Hospital. Some days ago he was infected with Covid-19 and was undergoing treatment in CMH. We have so far lost three physicians.
It was known that Dr. Mokarim was admitted in the ICU of Ibn Sina Hospital at first and then shifted to the CMH.
Mentionable, at first after being infected with coronavirus Assistant Professor of medicine department under Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital Dr. Md. Moyeen Uddin died at Kurmitola General Hospital on April 15.
