Action if anarchy occurs over Khaleda's verdict: Home Minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said, nobody will be spared if there is attempt to create unease situation centering the verdict of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

The Minister gave this warning at a program at Dhakeshwari temple on Friday.

The Home Minister said, law is equal to all. Appropriate action will be taken if anybody try to create anarchy on pretext of the verdict. Our law enforcing agencies are alert in this regard.

He said, over the period those who committed crimes are punished. Criminals were brought under the coverage of law. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has made the example for real.

The Home Minister also said, I want to say it clearly that our present law enforcing agency cannot be compared with the previous force. They are inspired by patriotism. They are professional and friends of people. So they will take necessary measures following the loss of people.

The court has fixed the date for delivering verdict of Zia Orphanage Trust graft case against Khaleda Zia on February 8. The court of Dhaka-5 Special Judge Dr. Akhtaruzzaman delivered the order on Thursday. Total six were accused in the case including Begum Khaleda Zia.

If the allegation is proved and Khaleda Zia is sentenced to imprisonment then she would be disqualified for contesting in any election.
