International Monetary Fund (IMF) has forecast that the economic growth of Bangladesh in the year 2019 will be 7.1 percent. But till 2023 this growth rate may reduce and stand at 7 percent.

The international organization has revealed the information in their report of World Economic Outlook-2018 in Indonesia’s Bali on Tuesday.

Earlier on October 2, the World Bank forecasted that Bangladesh’ growth for the fiscal year 2018-19 would be 7 percent.

But this growth rate is much less than another donor agency Asian Development Bank’s estimated 7.5 percent and the government’s estimated growth rate of 7.8 percent.

According to the IMF calculation, at the end of this year the inflation rate will reach at 5.8 percent and it will be 6.1 percent in the next year.

But IMF forecast said, the global growth will be interrupted as commerce was hampered due to tension between United States and China over business policy and imposing import duty.

According to the organization’s calculation, the global economic growth will be 3.7 percent in the year 2018 and 2019. Earlier it said the growth would be 3.9 percent.
