The prices of gold have gone up one more stage in the local market. Bangladesh Jewelers Samity (BAJUS) has decided to increase price of gold up to 1 thousand 5 hundred taka per Bhori. For this the price of one Bhori of 22 carat gold will cost 52 thousand 236 taka.
BAJUS informed the decision of price hike on Thursday.
The decision of raising price was taken considering the price hike in the international market.
General Secretary of BAJUS Dilip Kumar Agarwala said, the new prices will be active from Friday.
According to the new prices the price of 22 carat gold will be 52 thousand 236 taka per Bhori. 21 carat gold will be sold at 49 thousand 921 taka per Bhori. Besides price of 18 carat gold will be 44 thousand 657 taka and in old method gold will be sold at 27 thousand 400 taka per Bhori.
On Thursday the price of 22 carat gold was 50 thousand 738 taka per Bhori. Gold of 21 carat was selling at 48 thousand 406 taka and 18 carat was selling at 43 thousand 157 taka per Bhori. In old method it was selling at 26 thousand 536 taka per Bhori.
