Two thousand acres of land allocated for Saudi Arabia: FM

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal said, to make government and private investment sustainable two thousand acres of land was allocated for the investors of Saudi Arabia in a special economic zone.

He said these while meeting Saudi Arabian Ambassador Abdullah HM Al Mutairi at his Economic Relations Division office at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital on Monday.

The Finance Minister at that time urged for more Saudi investment in Bangladesh. He also said that in this special economic zone the Saudi investors can use according to their own demand.

Mustafa Kamal mentioned that the ongoing trade between the two countries has risen and it stood at one billion US dollars in 2017-18 fiscal year.

In the meeting the Saudi Ambassador praised Bangladesh’s socio-economic development and said, the Saudi Arabia government is satisfied as the relation between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia has developed tremendously.

He also emphasized on continuous cooperation and maintaining bilateral communication between the two countries for the coming days to expand relation.
