Nobody can use the stolen or lost mobile phones

Have your mobile phone been stolen? Or have you lost it? Do you want to turn it as out of usage?

Then you will get the good news within some months. According to Bangladesh Telecommunication and Regulatory Commission (BTRC) source, now you can lock your lost or stolen mobile phone.

The International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number database service is going to be started from Tuesday (January 22).

In the IMEI database user’s mobile phone number, SIM card number and information of national identity card will be preserved.

As a result, if a mobile phone is stolen then it can be locked with help of concerned authority.

Concerned also hope that the rate of theft can be reduced with help of this technology.

You can know whether your information is preserved in the database or not by typing your mobile phone number and sending the message to 16002 number.
