SSC and equivalent exams results on May 6

The results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations under 10 educational boards will be published on May 6 (Monday). On that day at 10:30 am Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni will publish the results formally at a press conference at International Mother Language Institute in the capital. There the minister will publish details results.

Earlier Chairmen of different education boards will hand over gist of the results to the education minister.

After delivering the information Additional Secretary of education ministry Nazmul Haque Khan said, this year at the moment Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is out of the country. So the results are being published after her approval. Earlier seeking time from the premier proposal was sent to her. In the previous years the education board Chairmen handed over the results to the Prime Minister.

In the last several years results of the public examinations are being published within 60 days. The 60th day after completion of examinations will be completed on May 9. So the results are being published 3 days before as per that calculation.

The SSC and equivalent examinations started on February 2 and completed on March 16. In this year’s examinations 21 lakh 35 thousand 333 students took part. Of them 10 lakh 70 thousand 441 were male and 10 lakh 64 thousand 892 were female students. The examinations were held in 3 thousand 497 centers.
