Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader informed that seven more days have been extended to implement the new road transport act.
He said this at a view exchange meeting over activating the new law at Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) office on Thursday morning.
Obaidul Quader said, time was extended for seven days at the beginning to create awareness. Now time has been extended for seven more days for the same reason. Aftermaths the law will be implemented strictly.
He said, in the capital two city corporations began their work to restore discipline on footpath and parking management but the activities disrupted due to dengue menace.
It is to be mentioned that the new road transport act is effective from November 1.
