Cyclone ‘Bulbul’ intensifying, cautionary signal 4

Cyclone ‘Bulbul’ is heading towards Bangladesh. It is intensifying. As the sea is billowy four maritime ports have been asked to hoist local cautionary signal number 4. The cyclone may hit Khulna-Barishal coastal areas of the country by midnight Saturday.

Special forecast of meteorological department said that the cyclone ‘Bulbul’ which is created on east-middle Bay of Bengal, has moved further north and north-western direction and located in the same area.

At 6 am on Friday the cyclone ‘Bulbul’ was located in 760 kilometers south-west of Chattogram seaport, 710 kilometers south-west of Cox’s Bazar seaport, 665 kilometers south-west of Mongla seaport and 650 kilometers south-west of Payra seaport. It may intensify further and advance north and north-west direction. It may influence weather of the regions and cause gusty wind over of the seaports, north Bay of Bengal and coastal belts of Bangladesh.

As the sea has become billowy, all fishing boats and trawlers were directed to take shelter in the safe places and also were asked not to venture in the sea until further notice.
