The 370-bed ‘Corona Center’ in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) has gone into operation from today to provide treatment for the coronavirus infected patients.
Vice Chancellor of BSMMU delivered the information.
It is known that there are 250 beds in the hospital cabin block and 120 beds are kept in Betar Bhaban for the Covid-19 patients.
BSMMU authority has said that of the 250 beds in the cabin block 24 beds are kept for emergency service and 15 beds are kept for Intensive Care.
In the cabin block there are necessary treatment facilities including central oxygen system for each bed. Treatment for critical patients will be provided here.
BSMMU said that oxygen plant has been set up in the cabin block for the ‘Corona Center’. Besides works for the high flow nasal canula and non-invasive ventilator are at the last stage.
