How much they believe in independence?: Info Minister

Yesterday, March 25 was the Genocide Day. Stately and different organizations including Awami League observed the day but BNP did not. Both Khaleda Zia and Pakistan raised question over the number of 30 lakh martyrs in the liberation war. Those who raise question over the number of martyrs, how much they believe in the independence and sovereignty of the country? The question was raised by Information Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud.
He said these at a documentary and photographic exhibition and discussion meeting on the occasion of Independence and National Day at Kakrail in the capital on Tuesday.
The Information Minister said, if BNP-Jamaat did not do negative politics then the country would have developed further.
He also urged all to work unitedly to build a developed and prosperous country being inspired by the spirit of liberation war leaving the negative politics.
Dr. Hasan Mahmud said, the amazing development of the country under leadership of Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina has given the honorable identity in the world.
He said, the commitment of independence day should be building a developed and prosperous country with the spirit of independence keeping honor on the sacrifice of the martyrs.
The program was presided over by Director General of directorate of film and publication Mohammad Istak Hossain where information ministry Additional Secretary Mohammad Azharul Haque, Director General of directorate of mass communication and acting principal information officer Zakir Hossain delivered speeches.
