BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, not only BNP, the whole nation is now in crisis. People’s freedom of expression has been destroyed due to this illegal-occupant government.
He said these while exchanging views with newsmen at his own residence in Thakurgaon on Friday.
The BNP Secretary General said, at present there is no politics in Bangladesh. Politics has gone to the grip of certain party. That party is controlling the rule of law and police force. Journalists at present cannot express the truth. There is no freedom of speech for people. So the wrongdoers are not afraid of doing unjust.
Mirza Fakhrul said, Nusrat will remain as symbol of protest against unjust. Giving her life Nusrat proved that there is no ruling system in the country, people have no confidence over law.
About discarding the case over the incident of killing villagers by BGB fire at Haripur in Thakurgaon he said, this government has kept administration, laws and everything under its control. Proof is that poor people are not getting justice. An illegal and occupant government is sitting there. We have told the government to arrange a fresh election under non-partisan, neutral government after cancelling the eleventh national election.
District BNP president Taimur Rahman, vice president Abu Taher Dulal and other local leaders were present at that time.
