BNP standing committee member Barrister Moudud Ahmed said, the incident of killing Nusrat Jahan Rafi by setting ablaze proves that the law and order situation has deteriorated at extreme level. People have become helpless.
He said these to the newsmen after visiting the family members of Nusrat at her home at Char Chandia village under Sonagazi upazila in Feni district on Saturday afternoon.
He said, the trial of Nusrat killing case should be performed in speedy trial tribunal. If exemplary punishment is not given to the culprits then that should be termed as undermining the whole women society.
Later the BNP central leaders offered jiarat at the grave of Nusrat. BNP joint secretary general Barrister Mahbub Uddin Khokon, Chairperson’s advisor Barkat Ullah Bulu, vice chairmen Md. Shahjahan and Abdul Awal Mintu among others were present at that time.
