Took oath following party decision: Harun
BNP joint secretary general and Member of Parliament (MP) elected from Chapainawabganj-3 constituency Harunur Rashid said, took oath following party decision. Will be vocal to inform about the demands of public rights in parliament.
He said these on Monday evening after completion of oath taking formalities. Earlier four BNP lawmakers including Harun took oath to Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury at her office.
After taking his oath Harunur Rashid MP said to the newsmen, we are not joining the parliament to legitimate Jatiya Sangsad rather we are joining to talk about people. We were waiting for party decision. The party has taken decision and we have taken oath.
Harun also said, this parliament is formed through voting theft. This parliament is not talking about people’s rights. At present murderers, drug addicts are getting bail. But thee time prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia is not being granted bail. We have come in the parliament to uphold speeches of people. We will demand reelection soon in the parliament.
If oath taking took place following party decision then why BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir did not take the oath- when asked about this Harunur Rashid said, it is his personal matter. He knows whether he would take the oath or not.
Earlier, after going beyond party decision BNP elected MP from Thakurgaon-3 Jahidur Rahman took the oath on April 25. Later he was expelled from the party. When asked about this Harunur Rashid said, Jahidur Rahman apologized to Tarique Rahman. He said that he should wait for party decision and party will decide about him later.
