Decision of not joining parliament was wrong: Fakhrul
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, decision of not joining parliament in the past was wrong, now the right decision has been taken. Movement will continue inside and outside of the parliament.
He said these while speaking as the chief guest at the memorial meeting on the occasion of fourth death anniversary of former BNP co-organizing secretary Nasir Uddin Ahmed Pintu organized by Sammilita Chhatra Forum at the National Press Club on Sunday.
Mirza Fakhrul Islam said, cheap slogans will not be effective, struggle has to be made both from outside and inside of home. He also mentioned that the government will be responsible if something happens to Begum Khaleda Zia in jail.
He said, this government not only did harm to the democracy but also did harm to the country from every aspect. Country’s economy is in very bad shape. Although they are saying that growth has increased, huge development was done in economy but in real the economy is in very bad condition. CPD said this in some days ago.
Mentioning that BNP is united Fakhrul said, Begum Khaleda Zia is being shifted to jail in an unjust way. She is eligible for getting bail but not being given due to fear. Because, the government knows if our party chief comes out of jail then people will come out like inspired by the tune of Hamilon flute. She is so sick that she needs emergency treatment. I want to say that if something happens to Begum Khaleda Zia in jail then the government will have to bear the responsibility.
The BNP top leader said, late Nasir Uddin Ahmed Pintu was a fighter soldier. So he was targeted and murdered in the jail in a planned way. Pintu was one of my favorite persons. After the death of Arafat Rahman Coco organizing milad mahfil in the name of him made the situation worst for Pintu.
