What PM tells in London is a matter of concern: Fakhrul
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has made a comment that the speech that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina delivered in London regarding release of imprisoned party Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is a matter of concern.
His comment came in through a statement sent to the media on Tuesday signed by BNP co-office secretary Taiful Islam Tipu.
In the statement BNP Secretary General said, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is now staying in London, the capital of United Kingdom. During the visit while delivering speech to the party leaders and activists who came to greet her, she expressed angry reaction about Khaleda Zia’s release. It was published in different print media and was also viral in social media.
Mirza Fakhrul said, I express concern about what she said regarding our party chief’s release. If Khaleda Zia’s release depends on Prime Minister’s will then that will not only a matter of concern; rather it will be a bad signal for the future of country and people as a whole.
The BNP Secretary General also said, it is clear through the speech of the Prime Minister in London that there is not minimum democracy in the country, rather one party ruling system has expressed. The question that democratic force of the country has raised repeatedly about rule of law, legal process and justice- is proved reasonable through that.
