Abdul Matin Khasru speaking at the press conference.
Awami League presidium council member Abdul Matin Khasru commented that the speech of finance minister of Indian state of Assam Himant Bishwa Sharma is not correct. In his recent speech Himant said that the people who were excluded from the Assam citizen list are ‘people of Bangladesh’ and they will be sent back to Bangladesh.
The Awami League leader’s comment came at a press conference held at the party president’s political office at Dhanmondi in the capital on Monday.
Abdul Matin Khasru said, not only Assam finance minister, it is not true even the speech would come from West Bengal chief minister. But still it is their internal matter. We are observing it. We do not want to comment about it right now.
He informed that a 20-member team headed by him is going to China following invitation from Chinese Communist Party. During the visit Bangladesh will seek China beside them to repatriate the Rohingya people to their county with honor and security.
