BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed intensive condemnation and protest for the murder of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) student Abrar Fahad.

He said, the armed terrorists barbarically killed Abrar as he protested the anti-state agreement signed by Awami League government with India.

He said this in a written statement sent to the media signed by BNP assistant office secretary Mohammad Munir Hossain on Monday.

In the statement Mirza Fakhrul said, the barbaric murder of meritorious BUET student Abrar Fahad again proved that the present government wants to sustain their Hitler type ruling after eradicating the protesting voice of people. But people of the country will never allow meeting up their aspiration. People of Bangladesh will not hesitate to sacrifice in the way of their tradition of struggle.

He said, this autocratic government has covered the country with the cloud of fear after staining their hands with blood. So that, nobody dare to utter a single word or write against the misdeeds and unjust of this government.

Fakhrul said, jungle ruling has been established in the country and people have lost their security to return home safely after coming outside. The situation seems that we are living in the valley of death.

He also demanded immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the killing and exemplary punishment for them.
