The Dhaka metropolitan magistrate court has awarded bail to three BNP leaders including its vice chairman Major (retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed and joint secretary general Khairul Kabir Khokon. They were arrested from High Court gate area on Thursday while appearing before the court seeking bail.
Earlier, police produced the arrested persons before the court and sought ten days remand but the court rejected their plea and granted bail for the BNP leaders over 10 thousand taka bond.
Deputy Commissioner of DMP media wing Masudur Rahman said, a case was filed on Tuesday with Shahbag police station in connection with automobiles vandalism and attack on police by the BNP leaders and activists. Major (retd) Hafiz and Khairul Kabir Khokan were arrested in this case. Detective Branch police is investigating the case.
