BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, ‘goodbye bell’ of the government is being heard from every corner. Awami League is having nightmares at the moment. Now they can see BNP everywhere.

His comments came in at a recall meeting organized at the National Press Club on Friday. The program was organized in remembrance of agriculturist Jabed Iqbal, the former president of Agriculturists Association of Bangladesh (AAB).

Expressing satisfaction over the verdict of Holey Artisan case Mirza Fakhrul said, a verdict has been awarded against the dangerous and terrible militancy which is destroying the human civilization. We have welcomed the verdict.

He said, we hope that such incident will not happen in Bangladesh and people will be conscious against this. But the problem is not there. When such gruesome incident would happen? The opportunity is created when people cannot speak, people lose their democratic rights, when people cannot express their pain, grief and anger. Over the last 10-12 years Awami League has created such situation that people will not be also to speak.

To the party leaders and activists the BNP Secretary General said, now DNA tests are being done to provide jobs! What kind of test? Whether there is any kind of smell of BNP or nationalist. You all know this. We all have to prevent this. The spirit with which we fought the liberation war- was democracy. Now Awami League is eating up democracy.

The program was presided over by organizing committee convener agriculturist Rashidul Hasan Harun where BNP Chairperson’s advisor poet Abdul Hye Shikder, BNP joint secretary general Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal were present.
