BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, the present government has kept Begum Khaleda Zia confined in an unjust and illegal way. Though we expect justice from the court but she is not getting the fair judgment.

He said this to the newsmen while discussing with them at a three-day long funeral program at Sima Mahabihar at Ramu in Cox’s Bazar on Friday.

Mirza Fakhrul said, BNP is a democratic party, so we believe in democratic movement. The present government is still continuing attacks, cases and oppression on BNP leaders and activists. In this continuation Begum Khaleda Zia has been imprisoned in a false case illegally.

Mirza Fakhrul said, as the government fears the movement of BNP they are continuing their efforts to curb it in different ways. As well as they are trying to turn the country into a failed state.

About India’s citizenship act he said, we have to be alert so that conflict of India cannot create any influence in Bangladesh. We also want that all the citizens of India live in their country as its own citizens.
