Six wickets were fallen after 10.3 overs. The team Bangladesh’s total run was 60. Another 85 runs were needed for victory. On the verge of the shaft the young player Afif Hossain of Bangladesh gave the support of bravery. At last the Afif-Mosaddek duo scored 82 runs in the partnership but Afif was out for 52 runs of just 26 balls. Afif’s inning gave the solid foundation for Bangladesh’s win against Zimbabwe. Mosaddek was not out 30 in the match delayed by rain to start. And Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe by 3 wickets in the tri-nation international T-20 series in Dhaka.
Earlier, the match started one and half an hour after the scheduled time due to rain. After losing the toss Zimbabwe went on to bat first.
Deciding to field the beginning of Bangladesh was surprising. Taijul took his debut wicket on the first ball of his over. He sent opener Taylor back to pavilion after scoring just 6 runs. The second wicket fell when the Zimbabwean innings total was 51. Mustafizur Rahman sent Craig Arvin after when his run was 11.
Then the primary construction work was done by Hamilton Masakadza but he was out for 34 runs bowled by Saifuddin.
Then Sean Williams was out for 2 and Maruma for 1 but Rayan Burl made a tornado of boundaries and over boundaries. In 16th over of the 18 over match when skipper Shakib came to bowl Burl hit three fours and three sixes. Burl hammered his carrier first half century. Losing five wickets Zimbabwe scored 144 runs in the stipulated 18 overs.
Giving away 44 runs in four over Shakib could not grab any wicket while Taijul, Saifuddin, Mustafiz and Mosaddek bagged one wicket each.
